A partnership between BTC and Prairie North Regional Health District

The product of a collaborative effort, Village Centre Childcare came to being when Prairie North Regional Health Authority (PNRHA) began looking for a solution to address a lack of flexible childcare options for their employees. Seeing an opportunity, Battlefords Tribal Council agreed to join forces with PNRHA to fulfill this essential need. Working together, BTC and PNRHA converted a vacant building into a modern childcare facility able to care for up to 42 children of varying ages. Unique for this type of facility, Village Centre Daycare offers extended hours care, from 6:30am to 8:30pm, providing the best possible options to accommodate parents work schedules while ensuring the children receive the care they deserve.

Village Centre Childcare is managed by a board consisting of members from BTC and PNRHA with representation from the parents of children attending the centre, and is in the process of creating another childcare facility within a local elementary school.
